Content curation and Resources for teachers
Hi everyone!!
I have been thinking...
...thinking about giving you useful resources to use as a teachers.
Today I want to write you about the next term: Content Curation. Do you know it?
As a teachers we have to remember so much daily information. In addition to this, we have to search on Internet so many resources so finally something may be forgotten. WE ARE HUMANS, NO ROBOTS.
So the term of Content Curation is as actual as Internet in our Education. So, we need some internet tools in order to keep all the meaningful and useful information we find. That is the idea of this post, providing you different tools to save digital classroom resources.
- Pinterest(www.pinterest.es): It is the most known tool. Here we can find different resources to use in our classroom, from worksheet to digital lapbooks. As well as you can find resources and keep them there. (sign in required).
- Symbaloo (www.symbaloo.com): Another webpage to find resources and enable us to organize them. An account is required.
I want to share with you an example, but I'm going to provide you the tool that I prefer the most. MY FAVOURITE ONE:
- Pearltrees (www.pearltrees.com): In here you can pin a lot of resources as the previous ones but, in my opinion, I consider it the most intuitive, useful and clear. The interface is very simple but effective.
In all these websites we need to create a Resources board for the content you want to collect. In my case, I have found resources for Natural Sciences (5th graders) and the unit: Heat and Light.
SEE YOU AND TAKE CARE!!!
Victor thanks for your post, I've been checking that some colleagues chose pearltrees and I'm realising how useful is! 5th graders will definitely learn about heat and light - great resources! I just want you to know that I found red letters quite difficult to read. Maybe you can choose a darker colour to make it clearer 😄 .
