Welcome to this new blog post. Writing this post makes me especially excited because I am going to show you a very fun and didactic tool to use with students.

This post wants to dedicate special importance to comics in the classroom. The comics in the classroom is a pedagogical tool that teachers can use in a cross-curricular way, so when used well they can be very beneficial. For example, we can use the same comic for the ethics, natural sciences and arts and crafts or ITC class.

Although comics can be done on paper, this time we are going to learn how to make them digitally. To make the comic that I show you I have used the website Storyboardthat.com.

This website has a large number of options and a very visual and extensive menu, so the students will need our help to make the comic. However, it is a very complete tool that offers many options in its free version. The options give us a lot of variety to create a comic and always in a safe way for students, the content is adapted to their age and they will enjoy while they learn. 

Here's an example: I want to focus the example on coexistence in the classroom, on the importance of respecting all classmates, helping each other and working together. Also in the importance of not leaving anyone behind and offering our help to others, because everything we do for others, others will do for us. As a result, the happiness and wellness this kind of situations cause in everyone.


 

I understand that it may seem somewhat complex and long at first. Don't think that! 

With Storyboardthat.com teachers will be able to take full advantage of the ICT resources in the classroom and develop in a very appropriate and easy way the competences established in the curriculum, including digital competence.. Just try it!!

Hello everybody with a NEW Storyboard! This time I am going to write two posts on the same topic to see how we can work on it in two different ways. The theme is "The Spanish Imperialism". Now we are going to use a new comic to explain this topic (in my other post I will show you a video) thanks to the website that I already explained in previous post called Storyboardthat.com The goal of the following comic is (from BCOM): - The student know some important facts about the reigns of Charles I, Philip II and Philip IV. The subject is Social Science and the specific content is: - Spain in the Modern Age. XVI and XVII centuries. The reign of the House of Austria. Once we have shown this comic to the students, they will have to work in groups to dramatize the content. Choosing the same characters and representing the comic.

Mindmap

Welcome back to a new blog post Today I bring you a very simple , visual and useful tool to show information to our students in a schematic way. It is called "Mindmap" and it has a series of characteristics and benefits that are very suitable for the classroom. Next, I mention the strongest points of this tool : 1. Show information in a clear and summarized way. 2. Visualize the most important aspects of a topic. 3 . Sequence ideas in an schematized way to clarify or solve problems. These are three advantages of using mindmaps, but there are so many!! It only depends on your imagination and creativity.  The importance of slideshows      The slides have become a tool used in many fields, also in education. Both teachers and students use them to support their explanations, presentations and studies. That is why today I bring you a very useful tool for making slides.      As already mentioned, slides are used in a wide variety of situations.
